Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 · Last updated 13 June 2026

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We use a small, deliberate set of cookies to keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and remember your preferences. This policy explains each one, why we use it, how long it lasts, and how you can control it.

1. Essential & authentication cookies

These keep the site working and keep you securely signed in. They store your session so you don’t have to log in on every page, and protect against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot function without them, so they cannot be switched off. They are set by Pythora and by Supabase, which manages our authentication.

2. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve it. These cookies collect aggregated, de-identified usage data. We do not use them for advertising. If you decline analytics in the cookie banner, these are not set.

3. Preference cookies

These remember small choices — such as your cookie banner decision — so we don’t ask again on every visit. They store only your preference, not personal information.

4. Retention

Session and authentication cookies last for the duration of your session or until you sign out, and refresh tokens may persist for a short period to keep you signed in. Analytics cookies typically expire within 2 years. Preference cookies persist until you clear them or change your choice. You can clear all cookies at any time in your browser settings.

5. Your controls

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences control, available from the cookie banner and from the site footer. Declining non-essential cookies will not stop you using Pythora. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may sign you out and reset preferences.

6. Third parties

Some cookies and similar technologies are set by trusted providers that help us run the service: Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (website hosting and performance), Google Analytics (usage analytics), Sentry (error monitoring, to detect and fix bugs), and Stripe (secure payment processing on payment pages). Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms.

7. More information

Cookies are part of how we handle data. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? Email privacy@pythoraacademy.com.
